Podcasts on Research Methods

To support my own learning and the learning of my students, I listen to various podcasts on research methods.

Casual Inference

Hosted by Lucy D’Agostino McGowan and Ellie Murray and sponsored by the American Journal of Epidemiology, the podcast covers statistical topics in a practical and accessible manner. I recommend listening to What is the value of a p-value with Charlie Poole and Chuck Scales.

Within & Between

The hosts, Jessica Logan and Sara Hart, describe the podcast as a “lab meeting where you don’t have to do the readings and never have to present.” They cover research methods and metascience related to developmental science. The episode on moderation is a must listen to.
